I love fall! Perhaps even better than spring or summer… well, perhaps not better, but… Oh, who am I kidding? I love ALL the seasons!
September, after a very expectant spring and summer, brought me my first two children; Isaiah and Shaylah. I have to admit, I am partial to this month.
More aptly, what I love the most is the changing of the seasons. That certain something in the air that is signaling nature to be on alert, for heat, for cold, for rain, for long days or short ones; “prepare” that something says!

On a recent Sunday my sister and I got together with an old friend, Kevin, who came to town unexpectedly on business.
Kev grew up next to us, he was a few years older than my sis, DeAnna, and a few years younger than me. His older brother, Dallen, was our brothers BEST friend. His “person” as I like to say. I recently caught myself worrying…
I had a million things to do (like always,) school was starting, kids were asking (demanding) things of me, work was asking (needing) things of me, friends were feeling neglected, and there was still only 24 hours in a day.
I felt my anxiety rising, heard the sharpness in my voice, I realized I was “in my head” too much. Right about then, it occurred to me that I ought to take some of my own advice.

Good golly, I can’t believe it’s September already! Can you?
Every time I sit down to write the monthly newsletter, I find myself saying something similar, and feeling like my mother when I lament “Where did the time go?!” But it’s true, the days just seem to fly by and the pages on the calendar too.
The kids start school next week. My Zacky is a senior this year (gasp!) Thomas a junior, Antonio, our exchange student, a sophomore. Blessing is in 7th grade and Delilah Jr., the most enthusiastic of them all about this transition, is going into 2nd.
