When you hear the words “Take time for yourself.” What does the internal voice inside your head say?

Does it say, “You’re not worth it.” or “You don’t deserve it.” ? Does it say, “Don’t be selfish.” or “That’s so self-centered.” ? If those thoughts or anything like them echo around in your head, it’s time to change the narrative.

I have a good friend with a troubled teen (requiring a inordinate amount of attention,) a mother with Alzheimers (who she cares for,) AND a full-time job as a nurse.

She is a giver. She gives and gives and gives, ignoring the back [More]

A week ago I was writing about how Spring | Vernal Equinox was nigh…
Today I write about how a few days back it passed us by!

Yes! Spring, glorious, wonderful, daffy-down-dilly filled Spring is here! It might still be cold in your corner, it might be a little dreary, it may even be (as some of my Facebook enthusiasts tell me,) sweltering hot already. Whatever the weather, most of us can undoubtedly tell there is a change in the wind…

The rains have been coming down, a little snow, and a little sleet too, but mostly rain.

Soft, wispy, misty, rain that is like walking through a cloud.

Harsh, pounding, pouring rain, that drums against the windows and soaks you from car to front door.

Rainy days turning into rainy weeks…

Everything appears dark and muddy from my window and I find myself sighing heavily at times and wishing it away. But it is not yet time.

When I leave the comfort of the wood stove and window pane, put on my boots and jacket with hood, and head out to do some farm chores, [More]

Time Marches On…

Does it look like March is going to come in “like a lion”? I’m not that sure if it will in the Pacific Northwest, but one thing IS for certain, it will go out “like a lamb” – er – goat.

Yes! We already have baby goats at the farm! So soft, and sweet, and cuddly! These furry, big eyed, long eared, wobbly legged, little darlings just melt my heart!

You see, it doesn’t have to be February for for things to hit ya ‘right in the feels’ as they say!

Speaking of February, thank you to everyone who took my Love Challenge! [More]
