Were you sad or relieved when we switched from Christmas music back to our standard, much loved, play lists?
As much as I look forward to Christmas and holiday tunes when November comes ’round on the calendar each year, I have to admit that I’m ready for it to be in my rear-view mirror when that same calendar finds it’s way to the rubbish bin and a new one takes it’s place.
So we’re back to playing all your favorites! Chosen carefully so that the radio program is a place of respite from a hard days work; office, job site, or home, kid-wrangling. Producer Janey and I chose music that we hope will soothe, uplift, and help smooth off the rough edges of a rough day, or perhaps just unwind and ease into your evenings with a little less stress.
How are we doing?
Right now there is so much good music and great new artists, we are really enjoying the influx from artists such as Sam Smith, Adele, Ed Sheeran, Lindsey Stirling, and so many more!
Will you drop me a note and let me know what your favorites are? I love hearing from you!
Top Love Songs
Last year, People Magazine interviewed me and asked about my top love songs… Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, I wanted to get your feedback once again. In the event that you missed the original list, here it is, with a few more added. Check it out then tell me what YOUR favorites are!
I Will Always Love You – Dolly Pardon or Whitney Houston
Not a wedding song! This is about a woman movin’ on, even though she will always love the man that’s being left behind. (Written by Dolly Pardon about her professional relationship with Porter Wagner.)
Endless Love – Diana Ross and Lionel Richie
Now THIS is a wedding song! It’s about commitment.
All of Me – John Legend
This is the kind of love I pray for my kids to find, that someone love them for – “all your curves and all your edges, all your perfect imperfections…”
In Your Eyes – Peter Gabriel
Anyone who has gazed into a loved ones eyes, knows the power of this song.
Always and Forever – Heatwave
A true classic. “Love me your own special way!”
Haven’t Met You Yet – Michael Bublé
Unshakable faith in love!
Scars to Your Beautiful – Alessia Cara
Without self-love, any relationship you have with another is difficult to impossible.
Hello – Lionel Richie
Romantic? Yes. But also for those times when you meet someone and your spirits just “click”, and they become a life-long friend.
Perfect – Ed Sheeran
There isn’t a more Perfect wedding song out there!
Love’s Just A Feeling – Lindsey Stirling
For a woman who is unsure about moving forward.
What are YOUR top love songs?
Please, please, please let me know, and tell my WHY!

Rod Stewart | The Legend
And while we’re on the topic of love songs and artists, I want to give a HUGE shout out to my friend, Rod Stewart!
There is a reason he’s a legend, and it has much to do with his warm and gracious heart as it does with his timeless musical hits.
Recently he donated a concert package that was auctioned off to benefit Point Hope. The auction did extremely well and we are so very grateful!
Add another Top Love Song to the list above,
DA YA Think I’m Sexy – Rod Stewart ft. DNCE
This fun, flirty, and ‘don’t take life so darn seriously‘ song, will never, ever, ever go out of style! The remix ft. DNCE (performed at the 2017 VMA Awards and the MTV Video Music Awards,) is absolutely fabulous!
If you have a new love in your life, they’ll most certainly appreciate this dedication!
Delilah Jr. turned 9!
Birthday party attendees played pin the horn on the unicorn, and a silly game with chocolates, bead necklaces and 2 dollar bills from the ball-of-birthday-fun, wrapped up in many layers of saran wrap.
Unicorn cupcakes made by Auntie Wendi were a big hit! Happy Birthday my not-so-little namesake!
For all those celebrating January birthdays – best wishes for the best year yet! For all those celebrating January un-birthdays, happy unbirthday to you too!
With warmth and much love,
