Oh my, I feel so blessed!

The number of you that wished me a happy birthday was overwhelming! Thank you, dear friends.

When I first met my husband we soon found out we shared a birthday. Every year since, we THINK we are going to be able to sneak away and celebrate in some romantic and profound way… ha ha ha!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Or, as I like to call it, Happy Day-Before-My-Birthday Day! Had I arrived but one day earlier, you would all hear, “You’re listening to Valerie” when tuning in to my radio show. True story. My parents were set on it.

The day and the evening passed however, and I stubbornly stayed put. After all by hanging out for just a few more hours and making my arrival on the 15th, I still got heart decorations for every birthday through the age of 18, but managed to escape the naming. Snow Much Fun!

Last weekend I packed up the kids, the sleds, the games, the gloves, the hats, and the mittens… and headed for the hills in search of snow.

Between a beautiful cabin and a wide roaring creek, just outside one of the most picturesque towns on the map, we found some.

We also found grins and giggles, rosy cheeks, whoops of laughter, hot chocolate, board games, tall tales, snuggle bunnies, family time, and more than a few tears.

It’s a Girl! (Coming Soon…)

Last weekend I attended my first ever “Gender Reveal” gathering, for none-other than my daughter, Shaylah.

Only the doctor and one other person, who had been handed THE ENVELOPE knew the gender of her baby, God-son Ryan. Ryan had been entrusted with the secret so that he could acquire the appropriate colored smoke bombs that would give us the nod as to which aisle to head to when picking out cute little onsies, booties, blankies, and all the other ‘ies’ babies need.
